Directions:
Coming from I-84 EAST:
Take Exit 48 to "Capitol Avenue - Exit 48 B"; turn left onto Capitol Ave.;
right onto Washington Street (at the equestrian statue); continue south to the
third traffic light at Jefferson Street. Just beyond Jefferson Street, on the
left, is the driveway to the public parking garage. The Institute of Living is
one block further on the left.
Coming from I-84 WEST:
Take Exit 54, "Downtown Hartford," and turn left at the bottom of the bridge
onto Columbus Boulevard; continue to Wyllys Street (three traffic lights) onto
Jefferson Street. At the second light, turn left onto Seymour Street and turn
right between 85 Seymour Street Medical Building and the Connecticut Children's
Medical Center. The public parking garage is attached to the Medical Building.
The Institute of Living is one block further on the left.
Coming from I-91, NORTH or SOUTH:
Take exit 29 A, traveling beneath the Hartford Public Library to the Bushnell
Park rotary. Proceed three-quarters way around the rotary and turn right onto
Hudson Street. At the end of Hudson Street, turn right onto Jefferson Street
and left onto Seymour Street. Turn right between 85 Seymour Street Medical
Building and the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. The public parking
garage is attached to the building. The Institute of Living is one block
further on the left.
Coming from Route 2 (Norwich Area):
Follow Rte 2 West all the way to the end, and take the "Downtown Hartford"
exit. At the traffic light turn left onto Columbus Boulevard. Continue through
7 traffic lights which will lead you to a five-way intersection. At this
intersection continue straight onto Jefferson Street. At the second light turn
left onto Seymour Street. Turn right (traveling between the 85 Jefferson St.
Medical Building on the right and Connecticut Children's Medical Center on the
left); the Public Parking Garage is on the right side on the drive.
