Community Advisory Board: This group is made up of individuals from the community and Hartford Hospital who are committed to breast care and breast cancer and support the mission of the Partnership for Breast Care. The purpose of this board is to act on behalf of the Partnership for Breast Care with outreach and fund raising activities and to advise the Partnership for Breast Care on issues important to individuals with breast cancer, problems or diseases. Clerical Volunteer Positions: Clerical volunteers are utilized as receptionists, assist with answering phones, and perform various clerical tasks including: mailings, filing, faxing, etc. In addition, volunteers with computer skills can be involved with various computer projects. Patient Contact Volunteers: The Partnership for Breast Care has a volunteer program that provides opportunities to support those with breast cancer as well as reach out to the community through educational programs. Mobile Mammography Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers who would assist in registering patients at various locations within the Greater Hartford area where we will bring mobile mammography. Volunteers will be scheduled as needed for a possible 5-hour day. The schedule will vary, but it expected that you would be called upon at least once a month. Volunteers will need to provide their own transportation to and from the site.
